James Finley played his prep football at Manual Arts High School where he was a 4 sport athlete (football, basketball, track and volleyball). He is a member of a 3A basketball city title (2000). In football, he was All-City (2000-2001), All-State (2001) All-American (2001). After high school, he attended Compton Community College and was named All Conference (2003), All-State HM All-American (2004), All-Conference, All-State and 2nd Team All-American. He attended the University of Oregon (2005) and started all 12 games and finished with 60 catches and compiling 602 yards with 4 touchdowns. He was selected as an All-Pac 10 Honorable Mention (2006) and ended with 19 catches for 202 yards and 3 touchdowns. In 2007, he completed an NFL training camp with Chicago Bears. In 2010, he played 4 games with the Green Bay Blizzards of the (IFL) and was named player of the game twice. He finished with 4 touchdowns in the last season game against La Cross before tearing his right Achilles Tendon. In 2011, he signed and attended camp with the UFL Sac MT Lions, an NFL Developmental League. He spent the last 3 years (2015-2017) coaching at Narbonne High School where he helped win 3 City Championships and 2 State Championships.

 

Born James Erick Finley on March 21, 1984 in Inglewood, CA. Parents: James Sr. and Valerie Finley. Family: Two sisters. Wife and father of 4 beautiful children (3 girls 1 boy) He is a Political Science Major.
